Hello 2020!
Happy new decade all!
It is that dry time of winter here in Colorado and we are ever applying all the chap sticks and lotions. Here is a recipe that we recently discovered for a diy scrub using coffee grounds, sugar and coconut oil that is both exfoliating and moisturizing for that winter skin. We don't usually buy into these sorts of things but we tried it, and we were so impressed by how smooth and soft, not greasy, our skin felt after using this! Check it out:
1 cup coffee grounds
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil (I heated mine slightly to make it easier to mix in with the other ingredients)
You can also add some drops of vanilla or essential oil for added aroma. I used a few drops of peppermint essential oil in one of mine and it added a refreshing lift to the strong coffee aroma.
Mix all together and rub on hands, feet, elbows, knees and wherever else needs a little TLC. This scrub works wonders for men with facial hair to keep that patchy dryness and itchiness at bay. The above amount is good for a one scrub use but you can also double it and store in a jar for a few days so its ready to go when you are. Enjoy!
Cheers to that great cup of coffee to drink while enjoying the unbeatable Colorado winter!
