About

Sláinte Coffee was born out of the idea that we should enjoy fresh coffee. Fresh coffee is akin to produce. We would not eat a peach that was two months old...nor should we drink coffee that has been roasted two months ago. As with wine, coffee has varietal flavors which are best experienced at peak freshness. For coffee that is often no longer than 10 days after roasting. Sláinte Coffee sources our green beans from La Bodega “small bag specialty green coffee”. La Bodega, whose parent company is Cafe Imports, works with farmers all over the world to “make specialty coffee more accessible.” For more information check our their website http://bodega.coffee/

Sláinte is the term for 'health' or 'cheers' in the Irish language. It's used in conjunction when toasting a drink. Andrea and Devon Mullen both feel a strong connection to their Scottish and Irish heritage. They also feel a strong connection to...well...coffee.

Husband and wife duo Devon and Andrea spend much of their time taking care of their 3 energetic kids. Devon has worked in the coffee industry both as a roaster and as a barista in Denver, Manhattan and Brooklyn. Both are registered nurses who met working long shifts in the ICU where fresh coffee was an essential tool in providing excellent care to patients.

The below picture was taken while we were on our honeymoon in Ireland. We saw it while entering a lovely pub for a pint of the black stuff (stout). We hope you enjoy many cups of our 'black stuff'.
